Students learn how to communicate effectively through a broad-based curriculum that covers everything from mass media to theatre and public speaking to public relations. 资本 students are exposed to research in the field and learn to analyze and manage communication in every area of personal, public and professional interaction. Graduates understand human beings create and share meaning with each other and to be able to put that knowledge to good use in their everyday lives.

资本 uses high-impact practices — teaching techniques and strategies like internships, undergraduate research and capstone projects proven to optimize student learning — across all of its 项目. 沟通 students are encouraged to participate in a wide variety of internship opportunities and work with professional organizations. Recent undergraduates have interned at places like NBC4-TV, WBNS-10TV, Mills James Productions, 埃迪·鲍尔, OhioHealth, 俄亥俄州, Ohio Office of Tourism and many more.
沟通 students understand that the world is changing, and they want to be prepared for what lies ahead. Whatever path a student chooses, they can be sure that 资本's 沟通 program will equip them with a strong liberal arts education and the skills needed to convey their message and be heard. Many students use the program as a launch pad for law school, M.B.A. 项目, professional schools and graduate schools in a variety of social science and humanities disciplines.
Located in Harry C. Moores Student Union, 资本’s own 歌舞剧院 is an intimate performance venue offering a black-box space. The theatre seats 120 guests with the option for flexible seating and staging. The full theatre is equipped with a scene shop, control booth, and a production office/design lab. The spaces combine to provide students, faculty and the 资本 community the opportunity to collaborate on a variety of theatrical productions, from musicals and contemporary drama, to Shakespeare and premiers of original work.
